Imbolc (pronounced ‘ee-molc’) is a sabbat of the Celtic wheel of the year and occurs on 1st February to 2nd February: the halfway point between winter solstice and spring equinox. It marks the successful passing of winter and the start of a new farming cycle. 

Imbolc symbolises rebirth, purification, cleansing, awakening.
